Little Love Notes

Who can resist a little pun? Children's valentines have always been a rich source for these corny little tidbits. The class I taught on Friday had them in abundance. These undeniably juvenile cards had me smiling all afternoon long, as I sat assembling kits. Take a look at these cuties made from Lettering Delights wonderful SVG's. If you haven't checked them out, get on it. Best artwork and prices around.

So, I'll send a little love and inspiration your way.

A Little Romance Valentines

When I was growing up I loved Valentine's Day. Actually, you could probably still call it my favorite holiday from a creative stand point. I really have a little hopeless romantic in me, when I'm not bogged down with runny noses, broken dishwashers and Craigs list weirdos that might come by to look at the washer and dryer we have for sale. The mundane of life sometimes creeps into my romantic vision, but give me a doily and some sparkly hearts to glue on and I'm off and running.

Now, some of my favorites valentine cards are in unique color schemes. This year for a class I decided to add a pale blue to the usual red for an updated feel. The look is fun, romantic and definitely me. Let's see if I can part with any and send them out. I used stamps and dies from Papertrey Ink. I couldn't have been happier with my first purchase with them. They are a great price and they stamp better than any clear stamps. They dies cut great, although doily produce a lot of bits and pieces to extract.

So, I'm sending a little love your way. Enjoy!

Ooh, La, La, French Marketplace Valentines

Had a really fun class at Simple Pleasures the other day. It runs again on Thursday night for any local, Colorado Springs followers. It used vintage Valentines and other bits of French ephemera to create 7 Valentines that are straight out of a Parisian flea market. Let me know what you think about them, okay?

Valentine Birdie Embroidery

I thought the busy time of the year was finally over, but I've determined that it is never over at my house. There is always a class to be prepped, a quilt to be finished, a meal to be prepared, or Lasson to "nuggle".

In the last week I have finished a bunch of new embroidery patterns for Valentine's Day. Looks like love is in the air around the Bliss household. I think I'll share a few with you. Look for another post soon for info on where you might purchase them.
